NUSTALGIC joins Mediterranean projects to strengthen collaboration for resilient agriculture

On 16 June 2026, NUSTALGIC was represented by Project Coordinator Marta Wilton Vasconcelos at the international event “Innovating Mediterranean Agriculture”, organised in Spain within the WATERMELLON PRIMA project.

The event brought together researchers, stakeholders and European and PRIMA-funded projects working towards more sustainable and resilient agricultural systems across the Mediterranean.

NUSTALGIC presented its approach combining neglected and underutilised species, water-harvesting solutions and sustainable dry-farming practices, while exploring complementarities and potential synergies with WATERMELLON and other participating initiatives.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge across projects and reinforce collaboration around shared Mediterranean challenges, including water scarcity, climate resilience and sustainable agricultural diversification.
