On 3 September 2026, NUSTALGIC participated in the multi-stakeholder workshop “Partnership in Innovation and Scientific Research for Sustainable Agriculture in Lebanon”, held in Beirut under the patronage of the Lebanese Minister of Agriculture.
The event, organised by ICU – Istituto per la Cooperazione Universitaria in collaboration with Consumer Lebanon, brought together 64 participants from public institutions, universities, research centres, farmers' organisations, cooperatives, the private sector, NGOs and international organisations.
NUSTALGIC was presented alongside three other PRIMA-funded initiatives implemented in Lebanon: Water4Med, FUSION and WATERMELLON. The workshop provided a platform to exchange experiences and discuss practical solutions for strengthening agricultural research, innovation, cooperation and support to farmers.
The NUSTALGIC contribution highlighted the project's work on water-harvesting solutions, traditional water-management practices and the opportunities and challenges associated with moving research innovations towards solutions that can be adopted and maintained in real farming contexts.
